Economic Development Marketing and Attraction
June 25 – August 27, 2012: Register Online
This course examines the process of strategic comprehensive marketing. It includes market research techniques such as market segmentation, targeting, and cluster analysis; methods for preparing a marketing plan; a study of the process by which site selection decision makers identify locations for businesses; and techniques of internal and external advertising, promotion, prospect hosting in economic development; and performance metrics. Although the course emphasizes business attraction, new business development, existing business, and product (community) development are included as part of a comprehensive approach.
